The US History Bee is a competition with two distinct stages: Regionals and Nationals.

For information on how Regionals works, click here.

The next US History Bee National Championships will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA on Friday, April 26, 2019.

More information about the National Championships can be found here.

At the National Championships, participants will each play in 6 Preliminary Rounds in a buzzer-based quiz format, similar to the National History Bee, but with all questions having a focus on American History. The top 32 students in each division will then advance to additional playoff rounds to determine the US History Bee National Champion. The final match for the Varsity Division will once again be held during the Opening Ceremonies of The National History Bee and Bowl National Championships at approximately 7:50 in the evening. The JV final match is held earlier that day, usually in mid-late afternoon.
